Description
Smooth and fast on the road
Trek has designed a mountain bike with which you can cover many miles on. A carbon frame, good groupset and suspension elements ensure a fast, smooth ride.
Are you looking for an excellent mountain bike, with which you can beat all your cycling buddies? Then the Trek Procaliber 9.6 is an excellent choice.
Technology
Carbon frameThe basis of this mountain bike is the light and stiff carbon frame, which gives you very direct and stable steering. In addition, the frame has the comfort-enhancing IsoSpeed technology, which allows the seat tube to rotate independently from the top-tube-to-seatstay junction. This reduces the amount of feedback from the trail which you normally experience on a hardtail. Trek has opted for a front fork with remote lock-out, so that you don't have to take your hands off the bars. Locking out the suspension allows you to cycle as efficiently as possible on smooth, hard surfaces where you need much less suspension than on technical trails.
High-quality shifting
Trek has opted for the SLX/XT drive for this MTB. This is a high-quality group that shifts quickly and reliably. You have access to 12 gears and a 10-51 cassette, which gives a huge gear range. You can easily win a sprint uphill. The brakes are Shimano hydraulic disc brakes. These provide excellent braking power and are easy to modulate. If you ride in difficult conditions, you can rely on the excellent braking performance of the Trek Procaliber 9.6
Drive tubeless
Both the rim and the tires are tubeless ready, so you can ride tubeless. Riding tubeless lowers rolling resistance and improves puncture resistance.

Great bike.
I traded my old bike with 26-inch wheels for a new 29-inch bike with a carbon frame. The course now rides a lot quieter, thanks to the 29-ich wheels. The shimano 1x12has plenty of range. The old bike had 27 gears! It handles great.
Pros & Cons
5 / 5
Fine mid-range MTB with fine handling.
This bike gives a lot of fun. On most tracks, you can therefore get along just fine. Components are fine for (solid) recreational use.
Pros & Cons

Very potent XC bike with urge for fast lap times
I drive the bike now almost daily for over 2 months. It is a super agile and fast XC bike. The comfort is excellent especially on rough gravel roads by the Isolink and the 29 inch wheels. Unfortunately, the brakes are a bit too weak for long and steep descents. In addition, a chainring with 30 teeth is installed, at which speeds above 35 km / h are difficult to step into a comfortable pedaling speed with. All in all, a cool part.

Top bike at a very gracious price
Always a nice ride with the Procaliber 9.6. Only the wheels could be a little better.
